Atty. Elijah M. Sayeh Distributes School Materials to Over 4,000 Students In Nimba

FPA Staff Reporter58 minutes ago

A Liberian legal practitioner Atty. Elijah M. Sayeh has distributed school materials, including copybooks, pens, and pencils, to students in more than 30 schools across Nimba County as part of his ongoing efforts to support education in rural Liberia.

The distribution, which coincided with the week of his birthday on October 28, marked another year of Sayeh’s commitment to supporting students in communities where access to basic educational materials remains a challenge. More than 4,000 students reportedly benefited from the initiative.

Born on October 28, 1987, Sayeh attended school in Buutuo, Nimba County. Reflecting on his educational journey, he recalled the difficulties he and other students faced in obtaining basic school supplies.

According to Sayeh, there were periods when he had limited access to copybooks, pens, and pencils, challenges that he believes continue to affect many students in rural Liberia today. He described the distribution as his personal contribution toward improving educational opportunities for Liberian children.

The distribution team, headed by Samuel Youdee and Michael Menwon, coordinated the delivery of school materials to the beneficiary schools and communities.

School Authorities, Parents Appreciate Initiative

School authorities and parents across Nimba County expressed appreciation for Sayeh’s continued support, offering prayers and blessings for him and his family. They also appealed for additional assistance, including stationery and other essential educational materials, to help address persistent shortages in their schools.

Osaka Teah, principal of Glaalay Public School, praised Sayeh’s relationship with students and the community, emphasizing the importance of his continued involvement in education.

“When we have any challenge in our school, the first person that we think about is Atty. Sayeh. He finds happiness in connecting with our students, and our community is blessed to have him,” Teah said.

The appeals from school authorities and parents underscored the continuing need for support to ensure that students in rural communities have access to the basic materials necessary for learning.

Third Edition of Sayeh’s Quizzing Competition Announced

During the distribution exercise, Michael Menwon and Samuel Youdee announced plans for the third edition of the Atty. Sayeh Quizzing Competition, which is expected to begin during the current academic year.

The competition is part of the broader educational activities associated with Sayeh’s community engagement and is expected to provide students with another opportunity to demonstrate their academic abilities.

Sayeh also organized a well-attended 2026 Flag Day celebration in Nyor Butuo, Nimba County, further contributing to community activities in the region.

His continued involvement in school-material distributions, academic competitions, and community events has drawn attention to his efforts to support education and student development in Nimba County.
