Samsung raises prices of several Galaxy M and F series phones in India again

Samsung has once again raised prices for several Galaxy M and F series smartphones in India, extending a pattern of repeated increases across its budget and mid-range portfolio this year. The latest revision affects a group of recently launched devices and appears to reflect continued pressure from component and supply costs rather than any change in product positioning.

Samsung has implemented another round of price increases for multiple Galaxy M and F series handsets in India, further pushing up the cost of some of its most accessible smartphones. The move affects a range of budget and mid-range models and comes only weeks after an earlier adjustment, suggesting that price revisions have become a recurring part of Samsung’s India strategy in 2026.

According to reports, the latest increase applies to seven models across the Galaxy M and Galaxy F lineups. The list includes the Galaxy M36 5G, Galaxy F36 5G, Galaxy M17 5G, Galaxy M17e, Galaxy F70e 5G, Galaxy M06 5G, and Galaxy F06 5G, with most variants seeing a flat ₹1,000 increase.

The scale of the adjustment is not dramatic on a per-device basis, but the broader pattern is more notable. This is said to be Samsung’s sixth price hike in India this year, following earlier revisions that affected Galaxy A, M, and F series phones over the past several months. Taken together, those repeated increases point to a market environment where manufacturers are struggling to fully absorb higher input costs, especially in price-sensitive categories.

Among the newly affected models, the Galaxy M36 5G and Galaxy F36 5G now start at ₹21,999 for the 6GB/128GB version, while their 8GB/128GB variants rise to ₹23,999 and the 8GB/256GB models move to ₹27,999. The Galaxy M17 5G also becomes more expensive, with the 4GB/128GB model now priced at ₹16,999, the 6GB/128GB version at ₹18,999, and the 8GB/128GB configuration at ₹20,999.

Further down the range, the Galaxy M17e and Galaxy F70e 5G now start at ₹15,499 for the 4GB/128GB variants, while their 6GB/128GB versions are listed at ₹17,499. Samsung has also increased the prices of its entry-level Galaxy M06 5G and Galaxy F06 5G, which now begin at ₹12,499 for the 4GB/64GB option, with the 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB versions moving to ₹13,999 and ₹15,999, respectively.

Samsung has not publicly detailed the reason for this specific price revision, but reports attribute the changes to rising component costs. That explanation aligns with broader industry conditions, where brands have increasingly adjusted retail pricing to account for supply-chain shifts, input inflation, and currency pressures.

For consumers, the more important issue may be timing rather than the absolute size of the increase. Many of the affected phones were positioned as value-driven options in Samsung’s online-focused M and F lineups, and repeated price hikes can gradually weaken that value proposition, especially in a market as competitive as India’s. Brands such as Xiaomi, Realme, and others continue to compete aggressively in the same price bands, meaning even relatively small price changes can alter the appeal of a device.

The latest round of increases therefore says as much about market conditions as it does about Samsung’s own pricing strategy. In a category where margins are already tight, manufacturers appear increasingly willing to pass part of the cost burden on to buyers rather than protect headline pricing at all costs.
