Urban Outfitters Adds Joint Rolling Machine To Product Lineup

by · Forbes

The popular clothing, home goods and lifestyle accessories retailer Urban Outfitters is appealing to cannabis consumers with the recent addition of a marijuana joint rolling machine to its product lineup. The device, the DaySavers Perfect Pack machine, is now available from the Urban Outfitters online shop and at select brick-and-mortar retail stores. The device joins other cannabis-related products carried by the retailer, including an exclusive equity T-shirt emblazoned with the slogan “Nobody should be in prison for weed” and accessories from pot icon Seth Rogan’s Houseplant collection.

DaySavers is a smoking accessories brand by Custom Cones USA, a leading manufacturer of pre-rolled joint cones used by consumers and licensed cannabis brands. Harrison Bard, the co-founder and CEO of DaySavers and Custom Cones USA, says that the Perfect Pack distribution partnership with Urban Outfitters highlights the company’s commitment to bring cannabis accessories to popular retail outlets.

“We are really excited to have DaySavers in Urban Outfitters! Urban Outfitters’ expansion into smoking accessories really shows how cannabis culture is going mainstream,” Bard writes in an exclusive email about the launch. “Urban Outfitters is extremely nostalgic to Millennials and older Gen Z people, which is perfect for getting DaySavers’ high quality smoking accessories in front of passionate and trendy consumers.”

Machine Fills Joints Automatically

Rather than actually rolling joints, the DaySavers Perfect Pack fills the company’s Ultra-Refined White Artisan Tubes pre-roll papers, which are also available from Urban Outfitters. The electronic joint filling machine packs joints from the bottom to the top, unlike other filling machines on the market today. This innovative process helps ensure an ideal pack from the filter end all the way to the top, allowing the joint to burn slowly and evenly. Other joint fillers fill from the top down, a solution that can cause loose filters and poorly burning joints.

“After loading the machine, all you have to do is press a button, and you’ll have the perfect joint in a matter of seconds,” DaySavers explains in a press release about the product. “The Perfect Pack uses a screw method to perfectly pack the cannabis all the way to the filter end without having to tap and repack so that you get a perfect, even pack all the way down to the end of your joint.”

The Artisan Tubes are the same size and shape as a typical cigarette but are made with cannabis connoisseurs in mind, featuring ultra-fine European rolling paper rather than the thicker paper commonly used for cigarettes. All DaySavers rolling papers and cones are tested for pesticides, heavy metals and microbial contamination, ensuring they comply with regulated cannabis programs in states across the country.

The DaySavers joint rolling system joins other cannabis-themed accessories carried by Urban Outfitters, a fashion and home design brand that has been popular with young adults since the company was founded in Philadelphia in 1970. In addition to its cannabis equity T-shirt and smoking and home accessories from Houseplant, weed aficionados can find herb grinders, rolling trays, joint holders, stash boxes, novelty rolling papers and more at the Urban Outfitters online store.

“This is a huge step forward for us here at DaySavers,” Bard said in a statement from the company. “We’re excited to share our premium pre-roll products with mainstream audiences through our partnership with Urban Outfitters, and we hope this is the first of many mainstream retail relationships.”
