Two missing cattery cats found safe as search continues for third

TWO of the three cats which disappeared from a St Brelade cattery last week have been found safe, with the search continuing for the third.

Cozy Catz Cattery owner Fiona Stratford confirmed over the weekend that Saint was successfully trapped by a neighbour, while Whiskas was captured by another nearby resident. Both have since been reunited with the cattery.

However, Nicolas remains missing after the trio disappeared from the Route de Noirmont area sometime between 8.30pm on Monday and 9am on Tuesday last week.

Described as a small ginger, neutered two-year-old male with a slight build, Nicolas is said to be very nervous.

The disappearance prompted an emotional appeal from Fiona, who described her “heartbreak and devastation” and urged islanders to check their gardens, garages and sheds.

Police were informed and the JSPCA was given details of the cats so any sightings could be reported.
