Adele Amy – Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year

A JERSEY Heart Support Group committee member has been nominated for the Volunteer/ Fundraiser of the Year award.
After sadly losing her father, Adele Amy “carried on volunteering in his memory with even more determination”, according to her nominator Sarah Le Gresley.
Whether it is marshalling at runs, walking marathons, helping at awareness stands, running car boot stalls or turning up in the Hearty mascot costume on a hot day, Mrs Amy “is always there and her positivity lifts everyone around her”, Ms Le Gresley said.
Ms Le Gresley added that Mrs Amy’s volunteer work extends into her workplace, with Mrs Amy always keeping a charity tin, leaflets and a Hearty mascot at her desk, while she even rallies up new supporters, including two colleagues she has encouraged to run the London Marathon for JHSG.
“Her fundraising has made a real difference – it’s even contributed to new public defibrillators and raising money with colleagues and the rest of JHSG to purchase equipment for the cardiac team,” her nominator said.
