JERSEY Sugar Art has been nominated for Volunteer/ Fundraiser of the Year after raising more than £250,000 for Jersey Hospice Care during three decades of fundraising.
For 30 years, the group has used its creative talents to support the charity, making beautifully decorated cakes and sweet treats to sell around the Island during the Christmas period.
Members also hold an annual raffle, selling tickets to local businesses, in offices and at the Christmas market.
Their nominator said: “This remarkable achievement is a testament not only to their talent and hard work but also to their unwavering dedication and generosity over many years.”
The group’s contribution has extended beyond the money raised, with members also inspiring others to support Jersey Hospice Care and advocating for the importance of its work in the Island.
And despite having already dedicated three decades to the cause, their commitment has shown no signs of waning.
Their nominator added that Jersey Sugar Art members “continue to devote countless hours to ensuring the success of their fundraising activities, demonstrating exceptional perseverance and community spirit”.
