Tramell Tillman Talks Joining SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY and Living a Superhero Dream

by · GeekTyrant

Fresh off his Emmy win, Tramell Tillman is stepping into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The Severance actor recently shared a few carefully chosen thoughts about his casting, offering just enough insight to get fans excited while keeping Marvel’s secrets locked down tight.

Tillman opened up during the Golden Globes luncheon for first-time nominees where he reflected on what this moment means for his career and why representation continues to matter to him.

While he didn’t reveal who he’s playing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, he made it clear that joining a superhero franchise has been a longtime goal.

“I always wanted to be in that world. I used to watch DC Comics and Marvel all the time. To be a part of it is such a gift.”

Tillman had nothing but praise for the production and the people behind it, including Spider-Man himself. He’ll be sharing the screen with Tom Holland, who returns once again as Peter Parker.

“I was treated lovely. Everyone was wonderful.”

Spider-Man: Brand New Day picks up after the life-altering events that erased Peter Parker’s identity from the world’s memory. With no one remembering who he is or what he’s sacrificed, Peter tries to step away from being Spider-Man altogether. College, part-time work, and a shot at a normal life become his focus, at least for a while.

That plan doesn’t last. As a new and dangerous threat emerges, putting the people he cares about directly in harm’s way, Peter is forced back into the suit. New York City finds itself under pressure from a mysterious force that begins tearing the city apart from the inside, pushing Peter into one of the most isolated chapters of his journey yet.

With powerful enemies closing in and unexpected allies crossing his path, he’s left to redefine what being a hero looks like when he’s truly on his own.

We may not know who Tillman is playing just yet, but his excitement makes his MCU debut one worth looking forward to.
