MRS increases fuel price by N85 per litre

Nigerian filling station operator, MRS, has increased the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, again.

A market survey by DAILY POST on Saturday showed that MRS filling station adjusted its petrol price to N1,395 from N1,310 per litre in Abuja and its environs.

This means that the filling station raised its petrol pump price by N85 per litre.

This comes after Dangote Refinery on Friday raised its gantry price of petrol by N85 per litre to N1,350 per litre from N1,265 per litre as crude oil prices surged above $100 per barrel.

Earlier, MRS and other filling stations had raised their petrol prices to between N1,310 and N1,350 per litre.

However, with the latest fuel price hike by MRS, Nigerians now buy petrol between N1,345 and N1,395 per litre in Abuja and its environs.

Brent and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil stood at $104 and $100 per barrel, respectively, as of the time of reporting.
