Easter: Roll away stones of division – Lagos Speaker begs Nigerians

The Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa has advised Nigerians to roll away stones of division and work for the unity of the country.

Obasa gave the admonition in his Easter message to felicitate with Christians on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebrations.

The statement was signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Dave Agboola.

In the statement made available to DAILY POST on Sunday, Obasa acknowledged that Nigeria is facing a lot of challenges.

He particularly mentioned that Nigeria is currently facing pressures and security concerns, advising Nigerians to work together for the peace and progress of the country.

He described the season as a reminder of victory over despair, noting that just as Christ overcame death, Nigeria can overcome its current challenges if citizens remain steadfast.

Obasa in the statement said, “Let us roll away the stones of division and despair, and work together for peace, justice, and prosperity”.
