'We are all in shock': Vigil held for man who died after assault in Blanchardstown

Mr Coughlan has been described as a “wholesome” person who had “the loveliest presence”.
He was found unconscious on Mill Road shortly after 4.20pm on Sunday, 17 May, and was pronounced dead in hospital on Wednesday.
One local resident told RTÉ that she “cannot believe what has happened here on this street”.
Another said: “We’re all in shock … it’s just hard to fathom.”
Two boys in their mid-teens have been arrested and charged as part of the ongoing investigation into the incident.
They have since appeared in court in connection with the assault.

A fundraiser has been organised to assist the deceased’s family with funeral expenses. Over €20,000 has been raised for the funeral, details of which have yet to be announced.
The organiser of the fundraiser described the deceased as a ”caring and selfless” man who brought “love and laughter” to many.
“Alex was truly loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, warmth and presence touched so many lives, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him,” she said.
She said that his organs have been donated, describing this as “a lasting gift that reflects the caring and selfless person he was”.
Investigations are ongoing and gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward.
Gardaí are looking to speak with anyone who travelled on Mill Lane in Blanchardstown, either on foot or by car, between 4pm and 5pm on Sunday.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Blanchardstown Garda Station on 01 666 7000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
Gardaí also said they are aware video footage of the incident circulating online and asked people not to share it, out of respect for Mr Coughlan and his family.
