Nivalis renamed Nivalis Nights, release date set for September 29th

If you enjoyed Cloudpunk then you may have been keeping an eye on Nivalis, the slice of life RPG set in the same world. Well, Nivalis no longer exists but it isn’t bad news. Instead, Nivalis has been rebranded as Nivalis Nights and it now has a release date. Developer ION Lands has confirmed that Nivalis Nights will launch on September 29th for Steam, and there is a new trailer introducing more of the world.

The trailer shows your humble beginnings of taking over a noodle stand, but life can take a lot of different turns. From this stand you can decide to build a thriving business that grows until it is the talk of the city, or spend your time fishing, decorating your apartment, or looking for other opportunities in the city. If life on the straight and narrow isn’t your vibe, you may want to extend your reach into the criminal underworld of the city, making money and a name for yourself there. ION Lands has stated that news and announcements about Nivalis Nights were quiet for a while because since October the studio was handling a legal matter that has since been resolved.

Cloudpunk Review

In our Cloudpunk review, Gareth said, “Cloudpunk delivers the look and feel of a cyberpunk city, it just doesn’t fill the city with anything of interest. The story is okay and there’s some side conversations to keep you amused, but once the novelty of driving around Nivalis wears off, you’ll recognise that this is a game made entirely of fetch quests. The city looks gorgeous, it’s just a shame it doesn’t have more attractions.”
