The professional house cleaner boasts that she hasn't had a fruit fly issue in years, thanks to her simple yet effective method. In her viral video, which has been met with heaps of praise from grateful viewers, Tonya insists that washing bananas as soon as you bring them home from the store is the key.

She explains: "Fruit flies lay eggs on the bananas then you bring them into your house and they hatch and you have fruit flies. So make sure you wash them as soon as you get home."
