Republic Hooks Up with Grayscale to Offer Access to Crypto Funds
by JD Alois · Crowdfund InsiderOnline investment platform Republic has inked a partnership with Grayscale to offer access to crypto funds. While Grayscale offers publicly listed digital asset funds these are private offerings.
The partnership will see three Grayscale products available on Republic’s DeFi Fund (exposure to protocols like UNI, AAVE), Decentralized AI Fund (NEAR, TAO, REN), and Data Network Trust ($DATA token). These products are available to accredited investors only. For foreign investors, the offering is utilizing Reg S.
The investment hurdle is set low at a $2,500 minimum.
Each fund targets a segment of the emerging digital asset ecosystem:
- The Decentralized Finance Fund focuses on protocols that aim to bring tokenized assets to life, offering trading, lending, and yield capabilities typically reserved for public market assets.
- Decentralized AI Fund invests in alternatives that seek to provide the same kind of open, global decentralized networks that Bitcoin did for digital money.
- Data Network Trust supports an onchain registry for AI training data and integration with Kled, one of the world’s largest opt-in human data marketplaces.
Republic started life as a funding portal listing securities under Reg CF but has since evolved into a more dynamic private securities and digital asset platform that enables a growing stack of alternative investing. This supports the thesis that individual investors prefer to invest and manage assets on fewer, not more, platforms. At the same time, the primary issuance side of Republic supports capital formation for growing, early-stage firms. Republic has expanded beyond the US, most notably into the UK and Europe.
