NVIDIA (NVDA) Chief Accounting Officer Donald Robertson to retire May 4

In a recent filing, NVIDIA announced that Donald Robertson will step down in May, with Scott Gawel coming from Intel to take his place.

NVIDIA (NVDA) has announced a major shakeup in its leadership with Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) Donald Robertson announcing his retirement from the role as of May 4, 2026. Former Intel executive and CAO Scott Gawel is set to take up his role.

Robertson’s retirement as CAO of NVIDIA came via a Form 8-K filing dated April 27, 2026. According to the filing, Robertson will end his work as CAO on May 4 and Gawel will fill the position starting on the same day. Robertson will not leave the company immediately, but move to a Finance VP position where he will “support various projects until July 1, 2026.”

Scott Gawel comes to NVIDIA from the Intel Corporation where he served from 2022 to 2026 as the Corporate VP and CAO of Intel. Before that, he was also a Senior VP and Corporate Controller at Oracle Corporation from 2020 to 2022.

NVIDIA has been heavy into artificial intelligence and making major deals regularly that demand a keen eye on its finances and planning.
