Families celebrating with the Keren Hachomesh wedding package at Oholei Torah can now save on everything from hats and kapotas to jewelry, makeup, guest lodging and wine, thanks to a new partnership with local businesses.

A chasuna is one night, but making one takes months.

Ask any parent who has married off a child. From the moment the l’chaim is made, the lists begin. There are calls to return, appointments to schedule and decisions to make, and nearly every one comes with a price tag. Long before the chuppah and well after the last dance, the expenses keep coming, and the wedding itself is only one of them.

Keren Hachomesh, whose wedding package at Oholei Torah already helps families with the cost of the chasuna, has now partnered with more than a dozen trusted Crown Heights businesses to help with the rest. Chassanim, kallahs and their families can take advantage of special pricing and packages from local vendors across every stage of wedding preparation, keeping business within the community and supporting the local businesses who serve them.

“When the Rebbe established Keren Hachomesh in the Rebbetzin’s name, helping a kallah get to the chuppah with joy and dignity was one of the very first things he entrusted to it. The wedding package changed the equation for the chasuna itself, but we know the pressure on families doesn’t end at the hall. We’re grateful to these Crown Heights businesses for stepping up, so that more families can make a simcha with peace of mind,” said Rabbi Shmaya Krinsky, Executive Director of Keren Hachomesh.

Chosson Hats and Kapotas
Bellissimo Custom Hats is offering two chosson packages. The Luxury Chosson Package, at $1,899 (regularly $2,200), includes a custom silk kapota, a custom wool kapota, custom kapota pants and a 100% beaver hat. The Basic Chosson Package, at $799 (regularly $930), includes a wool kapota and a Bellissimo 100% rabbit felt hat.

ATICA New York and Borsalino have teamed up to offer two chosson packages, each including a Trionfo hat, a hat case, kapota pants, two dress shirts and a tie. The Wool Package, at $949 (regularly $1,200), comes with a wool kapota, and the Zegna Silk Package, at $1,249 (regularly $1,550), comes with a Zegna silk kapota.

Primo Hatters & Kapotas has put together three chosson packages, each including wool pants, Sartoria or Mirage shoes, a lightweight tallis and a gartel. The Wool Package, at $899 (regularly $1,160), comes with a wool kapota; the Silk Package, at $999 (regularly $1,260), comes with a pure silk or silk-blend kapota; and the Deluxe Package, at $1,399 (regularly $1,760), includes both.

Jewelry
Laine Jewelers is offering savings of 5–15%.

Kirsh Jewelers is offering 5-15% off.

Tzfasman Jewelers is offering 5–15% off.

Since engagement jewelry is often purchased before a family books the Keren Hachomesh package, the stores will apply a discount on those engagement purchases retroactively, as credit toward wedding jewelry. Families are encouraged to contact the jewelers directly for details.

Makeup
Makeup by Sarale Magalnic is 15% off for kallahs and their family members.

Bechers
Elite Sterling, known for its fine silver, is offering [offer details].

Guest Lodging
For families hosting out-of-town guests, Dyra Stays, Chula Suites and the Crown Heights Guest House are each offering 15% off stays of three nights or more.

For the New Home
Everything But The Baby (EBTB) is offering 15% off beds to help couples set up their first home.

For the Simcha
Ebers is offering 15% off wine (excluding sale items) and 7% off liquor.

Wine By The Case is offering a selection of wines and spirits at prices 20–25% below average market rates.

Sheitels
Keren Hachomesh is also working to significantly lower the cost of sheitels for kallahs, with details to be announced at a later time.
