The Aliyah Institute under the auspices of Rabbi Moshe Feiglin and Reb Noteh Shemtov recently arranged a splendid Shabbaton for Aliya’s youth.

Reb Noteh joined one of their youth directors, Rabbi Ari Lipsker and the guys for a truly memorable Shabbaton at Rabbi Ari’s father’s Chabad House in Reading, Pennsylvania.

From beginning to end, it was an uplifting and inspiring Shabbos experience.

The weekend began Friday morning with Shacharis high atop Pagoda Mountain overlooking Reading, followed by a brief and uplifting pre-Shabbos farbrengen.

Friday night was filled with spirited singing and dancing together with the congregants of Chabad of Reading, followed by an inspirational and delicious seudah at the home of Rabbi Yosef and Rebbetzin Lipsker. Several of the boys shared beautiful divrei Torah, adding warmth and meaning to the evening.

Shabbos morning included davening with the congregation and another wonderful meal at Rabbi Lipsker’s home. Later in the day, an hour-long seder niggunim following Mincha created a deeply moving and memorable atmosphere.

After Havdalah, the group enjoyed a large barbecue before making the trip back to New York, with one final stop atop Pagoda Mountain.

The Aliyah Institute extends its heartfelt thanks to Rabbi Yosef and Rebbetzin Lipsker, as well as Chabad of Reading, for hosting such a mesmerizing and meaningful Shabbos.
