For the second year in a row, at the request of local Mosdos and community leadership, there were no vendors at Simchas Beis Hashoeva. So what did organizers bring instead?

For the second year, there were no vendors at Simchas Beis Hashoeva a decision made together with local Mosdos and community leadership. But the organizers didn’t come empty handed.

Here is what filled the street every night:

– Every night, water and pastries were free and unlimited for everyone.
– Light-up toys were handed out free, so every child could join the simcha glowing with no parent reaching for a wallet.
-Every night featured a special kids program with guests like Rabbi B, with the 12 Pesukim and entertainment, giving our boys and girls their time to have fun and join in the dancing.
-For the first time ever, there was an elegant women’s Simchas Beis Hashoeva at the Lubavitcher Yeshiva Hall, with Sara Blau, Faigy Blumstein, and musical guitarist Chaviva Tarlow.
-Together with Irgun Torah in English and in Yiddish each night featured farbrengens with renowned Mashpiim, including Rabbi Shais Taub, Rabbi Manis Friedman, and many more.
-Teaming up with The Farbrengen Retreat, the organizers recreated the farbrengen Sukkah: a place where every teen in Crown Heights felt welcomed.
-Thousands of visitors come to Crown Heights for Simchas Beis Hashoeva. Together with Ohr Hachasidus, the organizers made sure every one of them left with a small taste of Chassidus.
-In partnership with JEM, inspiring videos of the Rebbe played each night, bringing the Rebbe’s words right onto the street.
-For those who couldn’t be there, a brand new website SBH.live gave easy access to live streams of the kids programs, both farbrengens, and the dancing itself, broadcast live from five cameras Chol Hamoed.
-On top of the nightly lineup on the main stage, Chol Hamoed brought guest appearances by Joey Newcomb, Eitan Katz, and more.

The organizers put tremendous effort into making sure the Crown Heights community and its visitors got the top of the line “vending” they deserve: a chance to celebrate the way the Rebbe wanted, without having to buy expensive concert tickets, with top performers and a super quality production.

Today is the grand prize drawing, and the organizers are calling on the entire Crown Heights community to help by purchasing a raffle ticket or making a donation. Help us cover this massive production and help it grow so next year can offer even more.
