Chabad Early Childhood is the international network supporting Chabad preschools on Shlichus with curriculum resources, teacher training, and more.
This annual virtual program is a highlight for teachers to gain fresh ideas, effective strategies, and renewed inspiration for the year ahead.
“This year, we are moving beyond theory and focusing entirely on practical, high-impact tools that work,” shared director Mrs. Rivky Baitelman. “Our emphasis is on solution-based approaches and implementing systems early in the year to proactively prevent many of the common, yet avoidable, challenges we see in preschool classrooms. Participants will receive a certificate of completion, and all sessions will be recorded to ensure those unable to attend live can still complete the course and receive certification.”
This year’s virtual program features 6 sessions taking place between August 5 and August 27 at 1PM EST. The trainings will feature a wide range of professionals in preschool education with staff members joining from schools across the US including Gan Camarillo, My Gan, Lamplighter Chabad Day School, Gan Chabad Montessori, Gan Gani Preschool, Center City, Jewish Preschool, Gan Yeladim, Jewish Early Learning Center, Chai Tots Preschool, Little Gems, Hunterdon Preschool of the Arts and Gan Chabad Children’s House.
Mrs. Altie Greenberg will kick off the program covering the joy of child-led learning, Dr. Jill Lerman will introduce the power of responsive caregiving, and Mrs. Esther Hecht will explore crafting routines, rituals, and belonging into preschool classrooms.
Supporting high needs learners will be taught by Mrs. Yocheved Shapiro and Mrs. Sara Lowenthal will cover how to set expectations, divide responsibility and co-create a classroom flow.
Dr. Jill Lerman will conclude the packed program by giving over tools for supporting separation anxiety and encouraging a growth mindset and bravery in the little ones.
“Preschool teachers are so passionate and committed yet inevitably, conflict can arise amongst staff,” shared Presenter and Shlucha, Mrs. Sara Lowenthal. “The session will work through those pitfalls and create a more aligned peaceful environment where children can flourish and everyone can work together collaboratively.”
