Pittsburgh Zal Bachurim Celebrate Siyum Mesechtos

In time for Yud Aleph Nisan, the Rebbe’s birthday, Pittsburgh Zal hosted a very special Seudas Mitzvah for the entire student body, to celebrate the dedication and outstanding Hasmadah of four of our bachurim who completed extra Mesechtos as part of Mivtzah Torah.

In time for Yud Aleph Nisan, the Rebbe’s birthday, Pittsburgh Zal hosted a very special Seudas Mitzvah for the entire student body, to celebrate the dedication and outstanding Hasmadah of four of our bachurim who completed extra Mesechtos as part of Mivtzah Torah. Besides learning during the usual Yeshiva curriculum of Mesechtah Bava Kama, these bachurim learned in their own free time additional mesechtos.

All of the Yeshiva bachurim enjoyed a delicious steak dinner, and an inspiring program of Torah and Chizuk. One of the mesaymim, Raffi Kurtach, made a siyum on Meseches Shabbos making the Seudah into a real Seudas Mitzvah. Rabbi Ephraim Lerner, the Rosh Yeshiva, spoke about the importance of consistency and routine in Torah learning, and of finding the part of Torah be it in Nigleh or Chassidus, that appeals to one’s character, in order to be able to maintain the focus for learning. The event inspired many other Talmidim to take on additional learning goals bimakom shelibo chafeitz and to use their keshronos to the best of their ability.

The bachurim watched a video of the Rebbe, in which the Rebbe layed out a framework for Mivtzah Torah. The Rebbe urged every chossid to have consistent shiurim of Torah learning and to continue to add to their daily learning.

The bachurim were presented with well-deserved certificates and a significant monetary reward in recognition of their accomplishments.
