Many are familiar with the widespread custom to eat matzah on Pesach Sheni. This practice serves as a reminder of the second chance given to those who were unable to bring the Korban Pesach at its proper time.

But there’s an often-overlooked detail.

In the times of the Beis Hamikdash, the Korban Pesach was brought during the day on the 14th but it was actually eaten that night, on what is technically the 15th of Iyar.

Based on this, the Rebbe pointed out that it is highly appropriate to eat matzah not only during the day of Pesach Sheni, but on the following night as well—mirroring the original time when the Korban Pesach was eaten.
