Five Nights of Endless Simcha: Simchas Beis Hashoeva 5787 Recap

A message from Rabbi Yisroel Shemtov's grandchildren: Forty-six years ago, on Sukkos 5741, the Rebbe spoke non-stop about the ideas of Simchas Beis and the importance of simcha. That vision continues to inspire this celebration today.

Forty-six years ago, on Sukkos 5741, the Rebbe spoke non-stop about the ideas of Simchas Beis and the importance of simcha. That vision continues to inspire this celebration today.

This year’s Simchas Beis Hashoeva was something to remember! Every night the streets pulsed with music, dancing and unfiltered joy, as Crown Heights became a living celebration of Achdus and the community spirit that makes our neighborhood shine. Each night also featured a Sicha of the Rebbe, inspiring and uplifting everyone who came.

Over 95,000 people joined the dancing in the street over Chol Hamoed, and thousands more joined from around the world on the brand-new SBH.live.

This Year by the Numbers:
100,000 views on SBH.live • 95,000 unique people dancing in the street over Chol Hamoed streaming from 5 live cameras for 5 nights.• 20,000 visitors who received an Ohr Hachasidus booklets • 20,000 bottles of water, free • 18,000 pastries, free • 14,000 light-up toys given to kids • 10,000 kids at the nightly kids program • 6,158 Tickets in all the Raffles • 2,500 teens at the farbrengen Sukkah • Over 2,000 donors • 1,400 letters in the Sefer Torah • 500 women at the first-ever women’s Simchas Beis Hashoeva • 42 guest performers and bands, including Joey Newcomb, Eitan Katz and Yoni Z • 10 Farbrengens in English and Yiddish
