OM Sarawak launches EduStart Fund to support B40 students
by Jane Moh · Borneo Post OnlineBINTULU (Nov 8): OM Materials (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd (OM Sarawak), in collaboration with Institut Kemahiran Mara (IKM) Bintulu, recently launched the EduStart Fund handover ceremony at the Summerland Room, IKM Bintulu.
This is part of OM Sarawak’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative that aims to provide financial support to students in the B40 (low-income) group, according to a statement today.
With the tagline ‘Supporting Your First Steps in Higher Education’, the EduStart Fund strives to alleviate financial burden on students, enabling them to focus on their studies as well as promoting better academic performance and well-being, while ultimately supporting their personal and educational growth.
“Through the EduStart Fund, OM Sarawak reaffirms its commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment for the community.
“This initiative aims to provide students from B40 backgrounds with the essential resources needed to succeed and excel at IKM Bintulu, empowering them to reach their full potential,” said the statement.
OM Sarawak, it added, is committed to making a positive impact on the communities it serves, prioritising education, inclusivity and sustainable development.
The EduStart Fund is among the many initiatives that OM Sarawak proudly offers, aligning with its mission to drive meaningful change through CSR.
