Sarawak Skills SAVTI celebrates 20 years, honours industry partners at appreciation dinner
by Jacqueline Raphael · Borneo Post OnlineMIRI (Dec 22): In conjunction with its 20th anniversary, the Sarawak Skills SAVTI (Sarawak Agricultural Vocational Training Institute) training centre held a Partners of Excellence Appreciation Dinner on Thursday, honouring key industrial and governmental collaborators.
The event underscored the strategic partnership and shared commitment between Sarawak Skills and its network towards developing highly skilled human capital for the region.
The gathering was attended by representatives from major plantation companies as well as various government agencies.
Sarawak Skills Executive Director, Amy Francis Najur, was present to welcome the guests.
The evening featured live performances by students and a lucky draw with attractive prizes, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.
A highlight of the dinner was the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the organisation’s strategic partners.
Recipients from the plantation sector included the KTS Group of Company, BLD Plantation, SD Guthrie Plantation Sdn Bhd, Sarawak Plantation Berhad, Wilmar Plantation Sdn Bhd, Woodman Plantation, Samling Plantation, Jaya Tiasa Holding Berhad, Sarawak Oil Palm Berhad, WTK Holdings Berhad, RH Plantation, and Hass Plantation,
Other certificate recipients were Grand Olie Sdn Bhd, BBC Plantation, Noble Corporation Sdn Bhd, Stesen Penyelidikan Pertanian Wilayah Utara, Pertubuhan Peladang Kawasan Subis, Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Miri, Bomba Batu Niah, Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) Niah, and Social Security Organisation (Socso) Miri.
“Sarawak Skills would like to thank all industry partners for their continuous supports in empowering skill trainings and enhancing the marketability of its graduates,” said the organisation in a statement, expressing its hope to further strengthen these collaborations to build a better future for Sarawak’s workforce.
