  • Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is moving to a "shoebox-sized" property on the Sandringham Estate.

  • Andrew's new home will be temporary—a fancier spot is being renovated for him.

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is still lurking around the Royal Lodge—aka the giant mansion he's been living in rent-free—but apparently his eviction is incoming. And he's allegedly being relocated to a "shoebox" in Sandringham.

The Daily Mail reports that the disgraced royal is moving to a "shoebox-sized" property on the King's private Norfolk estate, but the move is just temporary. Turns out another more "substantial" home is being renovated in "preparation for his arrival."

Apparently, royal aides have been moving Andrew's belongings from the Royal Lodge under the"cover of darkness" in preparation for him leaving in 2026, and "have taken the first few items last week to a Windsor storage facility belonging to the Crown Estate."

"A lorry has been and gone under the cover of darkness," a source says. "Andrew is going to a shoebox-sized house, compared to Royal Lodge, so a lot of the things that were taken are going into a storage unit. The clutter at Royal Lodge is turning what should be a straightforward move into a months-long, room-by-room excavation. It's all going to be painfully slow, especially with refurbishment work to complete at the other end. These aren't the kind of belongings you can sweep into a skip. Even if Andrew wanted to move tomorrow, he couldn't."

The exact location of the property Andrew will be staying in is unknown, but rumor has it he wants to move into Prince Phillip's five-bedroom Sandringham cottage, Wood Farm.
