The inaugural fellows are Bianca Lambert, Chazitear Martin, John Burr, Justice Whitaker, Nick Barili, Sulayman Tahir and Tedra Wilson. Their work has previously screened at major festivals and platforms including the Tribeca Film Festival, American Black Film Festival and Slamdance Film Festival, as well as on services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
“Storytellers have always led the way, setting the direction and shaping the culture,” said Stacey Walker King, chief brand officer at MACRO, in a statement. “The Epigraph Creator Fellowship puts the power of today’s technology directly in their hands so they can expand and build the worlds they envision on their own terms. Technology doesn’t lead creativity. Creators do and now they have the tools to go even further.”
Judene Small Jean-Louis, partner at the Cultural Leadership Fund, added that the initiative aims to bridge a gap between creatives and technologists. “Epigraph brings them into the same room, creating real exposure on both sides and shifting how technology and culture come together,” she said.
The fellowship reflects a broader push across Hollywood and Silicon Valley to integrate AI tools into storytelling workflows while centering creators in the process.
