200 litres of adulterated milk destroyed

Punjab Food Authority (PFA) conducted inspections on Sunday at Sheikhupura Road, Sundar Estate, Barkat Town, and Multan Road. A fast food point and a milk collection center were closed for poor management, while a famous ghee mill in Sundar Industrial Estate was shut after failing sample tests. Raids on four food businesses led to three closures and one fine of Rs 2 lakh. Authorities also destroyed 200 liters of adulterated milk, seized one chiller, three drums, and 10 cans.

The milk collection center was operating without permission, and the fast food point on Sheikhupura Road was closed due to poor storage, dirty freezers, and the presence of rats and lizards. A ketchup sauces unit was also fined for mismanagement.
