Taco mayonnaise batches recalled over spoilage issues

· RTE.ie

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has issued a recall notice for some flavoured mayonnaise.

The recall relates to specific batches of Lidl's Batts Taco Mayonnaise, as well as a specific batch of SuperValu Taco Mayonnaise.

Both recalls are due to spoilage caused by fermentation, and consumers are being urged not to eat the implicated batches.

Lidl's Batts Taco Mayonnaise has a pack size of 425g, with best-before dates of 21 April 2027 and 22 April 2027.

SuperValu's Taco Mayonnaise has a pack size of 420g and a best-before date of 18 April 2027.

Both products have a country of origin of Ireland.

The FSAI said retailers have been requested to remove the implicated batches from sale, while recall notices will also be displayed at points of sale in both Lidl and Supervalu stores.
