Body of man discovered at a property in west Dublin

Gardaí have launched an investigation following the discovery of the body of a man at a property in west Dublin yesterday afternoon.

Shortly after 1.10pm, gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of a man found unresponsive at a residence in Cookstown.

The man was pronounced deceased at the scene, and his body was removed to the Dublin City Mortuary in Whitehall.

The scene has been preserved for examination by the Garda Technical Bureau, and the Coroner and the Office of the State Pathologist have been notified.

Gardaí said the results of a post-mortem examination would determine the course of the investigation.
