Stan Lee’s daughter to sell $8.8M estate that the late Marvel legend bought her
· New York PostJC Lee, daughter of Marvel Comics co-creator and creative director Stan Lee, is putting her longtime Los Angeles home on the market.
Stan and his wife Joan Lee — who passed away in 2018 and 2017, respectively, both aged 95 — purchased the over 5,200-square-foot compound for JC.
The three-bedroom, seven-bathroom property was the last property Stan ever purchased, The Post is told.
Located above the Sunset Strip, within the Hollywood Hills’ sought-after Bird Streets neighborhood, the home is set to hit the market Monday with an $8.8 million price tag.
“My father and I loved this house at first sight,” JC told The Post in a statement about the residence, which her late father bought for $4.4 million in 2014. “There were so many possibilities, we couldn’t wait to get started. This house was made for parties and entertaining with a sound system that extends to the showers, the theater, and the cabana designed to keep food hot for outdoor events.”
The single-story estate is modern but boasts an old-school glamor. The tiered main entrance is defined by lush landscaping, low white barriers and a black-accented white facade with columns and crown moldings.
Immediately inside the abode, which is set on a half-acre lot, is a foyer that flows into a den equipped with a built-in bar and fireplace.
As well there is also a formal living room, a generous dining room, a kitchen with a large center island, two guest rooms, an office and a home movie theater with an ensuite bath, red carpeting and plenty of plush seats.
The primary suite has two oversized walk-in closets, a fireplace, a private sauna and two separate bathrooms.
On the grounds, behind tall hedges, there is a pool, spa, cabana and a paved upper deck ideal for hosting large gatherings.
The property is listed by Naomi Selick of Douglas Elliman.
