Cardiff motor garage celebrates 10th anniversary with double charity pledge

An award-winning Cardiff motor garage is celebrating 10 years since it first opened its doors on June 16, 2016.

Located on Penlline Street, Grease Monkeys offers servicing, MOT preparation, mechanical and bodywork repairs, tyres and more.

To mark their milestone anniversary, the garage - which has 'top-tier' accreditation on BookMyGarage - has made a special pledge to donate £5 from every service to local charity Noah's Ark Children's Hospital Charity, and £1 from every MOT to Cancer Research UK.

'No monkey business'

Back in 2016, the Grease Monkeys team set out to create a garage with a setup comparable to that of main dealers, but as they put it, “with better customer service, transparency and honesty”.

Competitive pricing and a willingness to go above and beyond for their customers have been key to their success over the last decade, along with "no monkey business".

They said: “What sets us apart from other local businesses is that our main priority is customer satisfaction rather than high turnover.

“We always treat our customers' vehicles like our own, and on any repair findings, we like to give the customer all the information and advice we can so they can make the best informed decision for themselves.

“If there is a job we cannot do, we are always happy to point our customers in the right direction.”

“We operate a very clean and organised workshop while regularly investing in the latest tools and software for all vehicles,” they added.

On being one of Grease Monkeys' chosen charities for their 10-year anniversary, Kath Fisher, community fundraising manager at Noah's Ark Children's Hospital Charity, shared her delight.

She said: “The Noah's Ark Children’s Hospital Charity is delighted to have been selected as Grease Monkeys' chosen charity in Cardiff.

“Customers who have their car serviced at the garage will be helping to support Wales' only children's hospital and the thousands of patients and their families that visit the hospital annually.

“Thanks to our incredible community of supporters and fundraisers, we can ensure that treatment and outcomes for children can continue to improve by funding innovative medical equipment, child-friendly environments, and emotional and practical support services for families during the most difficult times.”
