Married at First Sight UK fans slam 'uncomfortable' scene as Lacey's mum massages groom

MAFS UK fans have criticised an 'uncomfortable' moment from tonight's episode as the couples began their home stays.

On Thursday night (October 31) the brides and grooms were given a chance to see their partners' living conditions away from the show.

In the episode broadcast tonight, viewers saw groom Nathan moving into bride Lacey's house, which she shares with her sister Paige and mother Maxine. The atmosphere was strained from the start when Maxine revisited a previous disagreement, referencing Nathan's earlier comment about her cooking resembling "bottom bin".

The tension escalated when Maxine unexpectedly entered Nathan's bedroom and leapt onto the bed where he and Lacey were lying. Paige and the family dog also piled in, leaving Nathan visibly confused.

However, it was a moment that unfolded while Nathan did some DIY around his bride's family home that made viewers 'cringe'.

As Nathan touched up some marks on the wall, Lacey's mum was seen getting handsy with him, tickling and massaging his shoulders, and showering him with praise while he attempted to concentrate on the job, reports the Daily Record.

From another room, Lacey's voice rang out, "Mum, stop flirting with my man," followed by footage of her mum telling the camera how "extremely lucky" Lacey is, quipping, "If she don't want him, I'll have him."

"I feel like I shouldn't be watching this," one viewer commented, while another fan of the show chimed in: "This mother in law is a bit full on...making me cringe."

"Could [you] imagine if it was a dad all over one of the brides like Lacey's mum was over Nathan?" another viewer pondered. A fourth viewer remarked: "The lack of boundaries in Lacey's household is act insane."

"What have I just watched at Lacey's house?" another viewer queried. "That was INCREDIBLY uncomfortable with Lacey's mum," a fan expressed.
