Trader Joe's holiday hours

The fall and holiday seasons are honestly the best time to shop at Trader Joe's.

Between the pumpkin spice everything that you'll find starting in the fall, to the peppermint meringue cookies and egg-nog flavored coffee creamer that make their appearance in December, it's hard to resist tossing a few things that aren't on your grocery list into the cart. (One annual favorite you might not find this year is Trader Joe's beloved Candy Cane Joe Joe's, however.)

Or perhaps you're stocking up on easy-to-prepare frozen appetizers, cheeses, and snacks for your holiday gatherings.

Since prices are still high across many grocery categories, we're all looking for a balance between novelty and affordability, and Trader Joe's delivers on both.

While inflation dropped to 2.7% in November, down from 3% in September, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, consumers remain price-conscious as they head into the holidays.

Trader Joe's is beloved for its budget-friendly private-label products continues to make it a go-to option for shoppers trying to manage holiday budgets.

Whether you're planning a full Christmas dinner or just need a few last-minute items for a holiday get-together, Trader Joe's has you covered - as long as you plan ahead.

Trader Joe's will not be open on Christmas Day 2025

If you're hoping to shop at Trader Joe's on Christmas Day, you'll need a backup plan. The grocery chain is closed on Dec. 25.

Trader Joe's does, however, remain open on Christmas Eve, though stores close early. Because hours can vary slightly by location, shoppers are encouraged to check with their local store before heading out on Dec. 24.

Some retailers close on major holidays to give employees time off with their families. Costco, for example, is known to close on New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Trader Joe's closes its stores on New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day, and closes early on Easter Sunday, Independence Day, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Eve. (On Christmas Eve, Trader Joe's will close at 5 p.m.)
