T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach's Exes Have Given Their 'Blessing' on Marriage
· The Fresno BeeT.J. Holmes and fiancée Amy Robach are gearing up for their wedding with support from their loved ones - including exes-turned-coupleMarilee Fiebig and Andrew Shue.
"They have the blessing of their exes to get married," a source exclusively tells Us Weekly of Holmes, 48, and Robach, 53, as they prepare to say "I do" later this year.
The insider adds that Fiebig, 48, and Shue, 59, "are invited to the wedding, but they won't be going. But their kids will be there."
As Us previously reported in January, Robach plans to have their children play a special role on the big day: "Amy wants T.J.'s daughter Sabine and her daughters, Ava and Annie, to be bridesmaids," the source told Us.
Holmes shares his eldest children, Brianna and Jaiden, with first wife Amy Ferson. He also shares daughter Sabine, 13, with ex-wife Fiebig, whom he was still married to when he was first photographed getting cozy with Robach in November 2022.
As for Robach, she was married to Tim McIntosh from 1996 to 2009. The exes share two daughters, Ava, 23, and Annalise, 20. The journalist married Shue in 2010 and became the stepmother of his three sons from his first marriage to Jennifer Hageney prior to their split.
Holmes and Robach are now "getting to the point where they're all coparenting and they're all getting along" with their former spouses following their engagement in October 2025, the source says.
Robach and Holmes were coanchors at GMA3: What You Need to Know when the scandal of their relationship made headlines. Us broke the news in January 2023 that the anchors were let go from the network, but three years later, their romance is still going strong.
Holmes and Fiebig filed for divorce in December 2022 after 12 years of marriage. They finalized their divorce in October 2023. (Holmes revealed during his "Amy and T.J. " podcast in December 2023 that he and Fiebig were separated when she began seeing Robach, but he hadn't even told his mother about the split when the photos surfaced in the fall of 2022.)
Robach confirmed in December 2023 that although she was still married to Shue when news of her and Holmes' romance broke, the exes had been separated since summer 2022. Robach and Shue finalized their divorce in March 2023.
Amid Robach and Holmes' budding romance, Shue and Fiebig turned to each other, with Us confirming in December 2023 that Shue and Fiebig started dating.
Less than two years later, a source told Us that Shue and Fiebig "have moved in together." The insider noted in February 2025, "It's not revenge. It's real."
Holmes and Robach, meanwhile, have continued to grow their relationship, getting engaged in fall 2025.
And, as Us previously reported, they've been eyeing a 2026 wedding abroad.
"They want a destination wedding because they don't want a media frenzy," a source told Us in November 2025. "They don't want their wedding to be about that. They want it to be small and intimate and only want 50 to 100 guests at the most."
In January, a separate insider told Us that Holmes and Robach's wedding "is not going to be celebrity-heavy," and they aren't planning on "inviting anyone from GMA as of now."
While Robach and Holmes have not revealed the exact date of their upcoming nuptials, they confirmed they have settled on one.
The couple were asked during the Tuesday, May 19, episode of the "Bill and Giuliana: The Podcast" whether they have a date, to which Holmes responded, "We do."
Robach was surprised by Holmes' quick response, asking him, "Are you OK with that date? I had a date that I really wanted. You're just telling me now on the podcast that you're OK with that date?"
Holmes assured Robach that he was OK with the date they had discussed. He then teased what they plan to do for their special day.
"There is a way we want to get married that we haven't revealed necessarily, but it would be very special to us," he shared. "We can't say what that is. That's a big thing for us."
