  • A Haraz coffee shop at Maple and Behymer would be the first in the Fresno region.
  • Bottom Line Group targets fall 2026 and Q1 2027 for those two projects.

If you live around Maple and Behymer, the new shops, restaurants and gas stations going up in your neighborhood share a common thread: Jay Virk.

The president and CEO of Bottom Line Group is behind the retail center reshaping the northeast Fresno-Clovis corridor, plus a long-running family connection to a Clovis pizzeria.

Here’s a rundown of what’s planned and when you can expect to grab a burrito, a coffee or an EV charge.

The updates

The center at Maple and Behymer started construction in June, and the details of what to expect in that space are getting clearer.

Chipotle, which will have a drive-through/pick-up window, stands to open by March. The center is also getting a Haraz, a quickly-expanding Yemeni coffee chain that’s got locations in more than a dozen states and is sure to complement the existing local Yemeni coffee scene. Haraz already has multiple locations in California, but this would be the first in the Fresno region.

Virk said a high-end salon has also signed on to be a tenant, and that Bottom Line Group is reviewing multiple tenants to fill the last vacancy in the center.

“We’re trying to pick the right perfect tenant for that,” Virk told The Bee.

The center is also going to have a 7-Eleven, which is going to break ground in January and expects to open by September. Originally, the space was going to be an ARCO with 16 pumps and a car wash, but after reviewing the surrounding area, the 7-Eleven will now have five pumps and focus more on providing additional food options to consumers, such as fresh breakfast and lunch and packaged meals.

What we already knew

At Maple and Behymer avenues, Virk is spearheading a roughly 130,000-square-foot retail center five years in the making, set to be completed in the first quarter next year, according to The Fresno Bee.

The project includes 20 EV charging stations, a 5,000-square-foot store, multi-tenant spaces for local businesses, a men’s health clinic and a confirmed Chipotle. Virk said northeast Fresno is one of the highest-income ZIP codes in the area with limited leftover commercial space.

“We’re trying to go for more of a modern market that anybody can go to. It’s just not a typical liquor store,” he said, pointing to fuel and charging options designed with aesthetics and safety in mind.
