The C254-generation Mercedes-AMG GLC43 4Matic Coupé is now available in Malaysia in Nightfall Edition guise, which brings a selection equipment revisions to differentiate it from the regular GLC43 Coupé that was launched in Malaysia in November 2024.

Priced at RM518,888 on-the-road without insurance, The Nightfall Edition of the GLC43 4Matic Coupé is locally assembled and adds on the AMG Night Package Exterior II kit, building upon the AMG Night Package that the launch-specification GLC43 Coupé was equipped with.

Here, the Nightfall Edition applies dark chrome trim to a selection of exterior elements including radiator trim slats, the tristar and model designation on the rear of the vehicle, as well as an AMG fuel filler cap finished in silver chrome with AMG lettering and black accents.

According to Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, the Nightfall Edition of the GLC43 4Matic Coupé adds AMG Real Performance Sound for in-cabin engine sound augmentation. This is delivered in two levels, Balanced and Powerful, which can be selected through the vehicle’s touchscreen.

Under the skin, this Nightfall Edition carries over the mechanicals of the base GLC43 4Matic Coupé, featuring a 2.0 litre turbocharged inline-four cylinder petrol engine that, on its own, outputs 421 PS at 6,750 rpm and 500 Nm at 5,000 rpm, augmented by an additional 14 PS from the belt-driven starter generator as part of a 48-volt mild-hybrid system that brings coasting and energy recuperation functions.

These outputs are sent to all four wheels through the AMG Speedshift MCT 9G nine-speed automatic transmission. Fully deployed, the AMG43 4Matic Coupé Nightfall Edition does the 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.5 seconds, with top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h.

Rolling stock on the Nightfall Edition is a set of 21-inch AMG Y-spoke alloy wheels, which are of the same design as those on the launch model. Within these wheels are brake calipers painted in silver, matching those of the regular model.

As on the regular GLC43 Coupé, chassis systems include AMG Ride Control that offers driver-adjustable damping with a choice of Comfort and Sport modes. Meanwhile, rear-axle steering operates at angles of up to 2.5 degrees to improve agility and stability, depending on the driving scenario.

Inside, the cabin features AMG sport seats in Artico synthetic leather upholstery, accompanied by AMG carbon-fibre trim elements, and an AMG steering wheel trimmed in Nappa leather. The MBUX infotainment system gets AMG-specific graphics and functions, while audio output is by Burmester 3D surround sound system.

This is the second Nightfall Edition offering to come from Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, with the first being the GLA200 and GLA250 Nightfall Edition variants which were introduced in March this year. The locally assembled Mercedes-AMG GLC43 4Matic Coupé Nightfall Edition is priced at RM518,888 on-the-road without insurance.
