Over 100 social homes are to be provided just across Kildare border

The figure includes 78 houses

Some 106 new social housing units have been approved for Blessington.

A total of 78 houses along with 28 duplex units are to be provided at Burgage More - along with a new creche.

Fine Gael TD Edward Timmins said the creche will support local families and added the plans also include “important infrastructure upgrades, such as new roads and improved footpaths, helping to make the area safer and more accessible.”

He added the project is a welcome step forward in delivering much-needed homes and ensuring that local infrastructure keeps pace with the needs of a growing community.

He said he has been pressing for more housing and improved infrastructure “since my election to the Dáil and previously while a councillor will continue working to improve much needed infrastructure locally.”
