We take a look at some of the three-bedroom family homes for sale in Aston as new data reveals B6 postcode is cheapest area in Birmingham

Families could afford to buy a three-bedroom home in Birmingham's cheapest area for as little as £140,000, according to current property listings. Several houses are now on the market for under £200k in Aston - which has been branded a "popular area."

The B6 postcode was ranked the least expensive place to buy a home in the city, with properties sold for an average of £155,531 each in the 12 months to the end of August. Average house prices in the area have fallen by 0.8 per cent this year - making it one of the areas least affected by change.

Aston currently has a number of properties on sale, including a three bedroom terrace home for £160,000 and a detached property for £195,000. The area is said to boast easy access to transport links, shops, restaurants, schools and places of worship.
