The clever trick that gets you into 'best spa in UK' an hour from Birmingham for just £60

You might have read the news this week that Staffordshire's Hoar Cross Hall has been named among the very best spas in Britain. Not only does the historic news outlet rate the Burton-upon-Trent mansion, but visitors call it the 'best in the UK', 'beautiful' and 'the most luxurious' in their Google Reviews too.

While spa stays at Hoar Cross Hall can set you back from £199 for two people sharing and a day at the spa will cost from £119 a head, there is a little trick you can adopt so you can soak in the spa from just £60, making a visit to Hoar Cross a little bit easier for the average Brummie.

To get that rate, you simply have to book the spa's 'twilight' experiences. What that means is that you get access to the spa for the evening and into the night instead of the full day, but that might come in handy if you've got a full day's work beforehand - Hoar Cross Hall is less than an hour from Birmingham city centre.

There are a number of different 'twilight' experiences at Hoar Cross that offer different options. The least expensive, from £60 per person, offers full spa access for three hours, inclusive access to the Wellness Suite and a light meal in the spa restaurant, Hugo's. You can boost that up to two courses if you'd like, but it'll cost a little bit more on the day.

For those who want a little bit more, there's a Twilight Indulgence Spa Experience, which is priced from £159 per person and includes a 60-minute treatment per person, full spa access from 4:30pm until 10pm, and a light meal at Hugo's (again, you can boost this to two courses if you wish). There's access to the Wellness Suite and classes too.

Special 'festive' twilight experiences are available for December, which include prosecco and festive platters. They're priced from £79 a head.
