Flavio after his nation thumped Nigeria: 'Give us Bafana'

After missing out on Guinea-Bissau's emphatic 3-0 victory over Nigeria on Tuesday, Kaizer Chiefs star Flavio Silva has jokingly said his country wants to play Bafana Bafana next. Here's a look!

The story

Silva was initially named in Guinea-Bissau's squad for the current international break, but the striker withdrew due to injury.

In his absence, though, his country faced Tanzania and Nigeria in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Guinea-Bissau claimed a 2-0 away victory over Tanzania last Friday, with the side being one of the three co-hosts of the tournament alongside Kenya and Uganda.

Perhaps more impressively, Guinea-Bissau claimed a comfortable 3-0 home win over Nigeria on Tuesday.

It was a famous victory for Silva's nation, as it was not only their second-ever victory over Nigeria but also their biggest margin of victory over the Super Eagles.

Silva watched the match, and it didn't take him long to joke about facing Bafana next.

After the victory, Silva wrote on his Instagram: "CAF, give us Bafana. We need to check one thing."
