A sprawling 126-acre property known as Shakespeare Ranch in Glenbrook, which is part of Lake Tahoe, is still on the market and now has seen a substantial price drop.

The eight residence, 19-bedroom ranch is now listed for $125 million, down from its original listing price of $188 million, according to the new listing. The property now excludes a previously listed residence and two lots but includes a nearly completed main house.

If sold at that price, it would be the largest single property residential real estate deal in Nevada history. The property has been on the market since 2024.

The property totals 45,000 square feet of living space, two cabanas by the lakeside, 14 buoys and a water pier that is 465 feet deep, along with two boat lifts, according to the listing. There is also a 151-year-old renovated barn and root cellar, along with an indoor pool and spa with a fireplace. The property also has a rodeo and equestrian grounds and a boat house in Tahoe City, California.

Listing agent Christine Perry of Christie’s International Real Estate Sereno said in an email response to the Las Vegas Review-Journal that there are a number of new developments and construction with the property including a new residence.

“The current offering includes a dramatically designed new main home that was not offered in the last sale,” she said. “At the heart of the estate, this home is a nearly completed 7,713-square-foot ranch residence designed by renowned architect Marc Appleton. Thoughtfully envisioned to reflect the timeless character of the historic ranch while delivering every modern luxury, the home is complemented by a beautifully designed 690-square-foot lakefront cabana designed by Howard Backen, creating an effortless connection between refined mountain living and life on the water.”
