‘Vegas doesn’t have anything like it’: Upscale furniture retailer comes to Vegas

The adjectives fit together like puzzle pieces — “opulent,” “glamorous,” “unique” — but Ike Dweck is looking for that final descriptor to make the picture complete.

“Sophisticated,” he says at last. “That’s the one word that I really like to use when I talk about the style: It’s absolutely sophisticated.”

Dweck is reflecting on how to best characterize the overall design aesthetic of Eichholtz, the high-end Dutch furniture retailer that debuted a showroom this past summer in Tivoli Village.

“I like to sum it up as classic European luxury; it goes into so many different types of furnishings,” says Dweck, the owner of Eichholtz Las Vegas who’s also the vice president of the upscale Regis Galerie at The Venetian.

Tivoli Village has become a burgeoning interior design hub for Las Vegas with stores such as Design Within Reach, Hub Modern, RH (Restoration Hardware), 7th Avenue and Saatva.

“I think that they have kind of found this niche of putting all of these sophisticated high-end furnishing brands and bringing them together,” Dweck says. “It certainly matches Tivoli’s look and how sophisticated the center is. I mean, it has so much going for it.

“And now to be able to add this, it just adds to everything that’s happening in Vegas over the years,” he continues. “It’s becoming a real metropolitan city, with a lot of culture, and it’s nice to be part of that.”
