$374k slot jackpot hits at Las Vegas Strip casino
by Trevor Squire / Las Vegas Review-Journal · Las Vegas Review-JournalA tourist from Illinois turned the price of a cup of coffee into a major win at Westgate Las Vegas Saturday.
The casino said in a release that the vistor, from Minonk, Ill., turned a $4.80 wager into a $374,443.83 jackpot on a two-cent Wizard of Oz slot machine.
“Seeing a guest hit a jackpot like this never gets old,” President and General Manager of Westgate Las Vegas Cami Christensen said. “With only three spins, $4.80 turned into more than $374,000. Those unexpected, only-in-Vegas moments are part of what makes the casino floor at Westgate so much fun, and we couldn’t be happier for our winner from Illinois.”
