Banana Republic has really been stepping up their game recently. Case in point, their new collaboration with La Ligne, the New York-based ready-to-wear label with an almost religious devotion to stripes. And stripes this collection has. In spades.

The brand new collaboration collection launches today on Bananarepublic.gap.com and in select Banana Republic stores with a campaign featuring actor Zoey Deutch shot by photographer and director Andrew Jacobs and prices ranging from $20 for a striped scrunchie to $1,500 for a luxuriously proportioned suede wrap coat.

“Banana Republic’s archives have such a rich design vocabulary, and getting to spend time combing them was a dream for us,” said La Ligne’s co-founders, Molly Howard, Valerie Macaulay, and Meredith Melling in a release. “For this collaboration, we wanted to honor that heritage through a La Ligne lens — our love of stripes and timeless design, our attention to details, our insistence on quality, and our quest for joy. This collection is really a conversation between two design languages that turned out to have so much in common: a belief in pieces that are classic but never boring, built to move seamlessly through a woman’s day.”

The resulting collection is chic, classic, and incredibly wearable — full of the kind of clothes that are almost too elegant to wear to the office, which, of course, makes them perfect for wearing to the office. After all, it’s always to your advantage to dress a little up, rather than down. And yet theses are certainly not “work clothes.” They are just lovely garments that have been designed thoughtfully to fit into any wardrobe and, depending on how you style them, almost any occasion.

“La Ligne has always stood for impeccable style and a distinctly New York sense of ease,” said Meena Anvary, Banana Republic’s chief marketing officer. “With this collaboration, we balance our heritage and La Ligne’s sensibility, brought together through a modern lens. The collection is a celebration of our shared design codes and offers a wardrobe of classic pieces that will take you anywhere.”
