Marafiq’s revenues hit SAR 1.8bn in Q1-26; profits leap 149% quarterly

Riyadh – Mubasher: Power and Water Utility Company for Jubail and Yanbu (Marafiq) logged net profits amounting to SAR 127.56 million in the first quarter (Q1) of 2026, an annual rise of 8.15% from SAR 117.94 million.

The revenues jumped by 6.49% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 1.81 billion in Q1-26 from SAR 1.70 billion, according to the interim financial results.

Meanwhile, the earnings per share (EPS) increased to SAR 0.51 as of 31 March 2026 from SAR 0.47 a year earlier.

Quarterly, the generated net profits went higher by 149.09% from SAR 51.21 million in Q4-25, while the revenues declined by 1.21% from SAR 1.83 billion.

Mohammed Berki Al Zuabi, CEO of Marafiq, said: “During the quarter, the company further strengthened its core water and energy project portfolio, enhancing asset quality and supporting sustainable, long-term value creation.”

“Marafiq successfully completed major maintenance activities on Gas Turbine Generator GTG-5, including the annual inspection, and safely returned the unit to service. This achievement is expected to enhance operational reliability and stability while reducing the risk of unplanned outages,” Al Zuabi mentioned.

Marafiq ended 2025 with a remarkable 2,520% leap in net profit to SAR 449.43 million, compared to SAR 17.15 million a year earlier.
