Saudi Kayan posts lower net losses in Q1-26; accumulated losses near 43%

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company registered net losses of SAR 614.61 million in the first quarter (Q1) of 2026, signaling a decrease of SAR 20.77% from SAR 775.78 million in Q1-25.

The loss per share hit SAR 0.41 in Q1-26, shrinking from SAR 0.52 in Q1-25, according to a bourse filing.

Saudi Kayan generated revenue worth SAR 1.48 billion during January-March 2026, which marked a 27.84% decline from SAR 2.06 billion in the same period a year earlier.

On a quarterly basis, the net losses in Q1-26 were lower by 10.34% than SAR 685.50 million in Q4-25 and the revenue fell by 26.09% from SAR 2.01 billion.

As of 31 March 2026, the accumulated losses of Saudi Kayan stood at SAR 6.51 billion, accounting for 43.43% of the SAR 15 billion capital.

It is worth noting that the company said the Q1-26 financial results included “Transferring the other components of equity balance amounted SAR 620.87 million ($165.57 million) to the accumulated losses account.

In 2025, Saudi Kayan recorded net losses worth SAR 2.29 billion in addition to revenue of SAR 8.45 billion.
