Riyadh – Mubasher: The board of Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden) approved the formation of a new audit committee during a meeting held on 27 October 2026.

The committee is scheduled to serve for the remainder of the current board term, which concludes on 24 October 2029.

The committee also includes independent member Ahmed Al Hakbani and non-executive member Richard O'Brien.

Additionally, the board appointed two external members from outside the board: Mike Cheng, the Chief Audit Executive at the Public Investment Fund, and Mohammed Al Arifi, the Chief Financial Officer at Awj Holding.

The newly appointed members bring extensive experience to the committee.

Al Moneef holds nearly 20 years of executive experience, while Cheng and Al Ariafi contribute over 30 and 25 years of expertise in auditing and financial management, respectively.
