Riyadh — Mubasher: Amwaj International Company announced that its accumulated losses have reached SAR 28.02 million as of 31 December 2025.
The disclosed amount represents 46.69% of its SAR 60 million capital, according to a bourse filing.
The company attributed the losses primarily to inventory discrepancies discovered at one of its branches totaling SAR 28.67 million.
Additionally, the firm recognized SAR 47.12 million in provisions for expected credit losses on trade receivables, largely linked to the same branch.
Amwaj International noted that these factors, combined with provisions for slow-moving inventory and operational costs, resulted in a net loss of SAR 87.80 million for 2025.
In response, the company is pursuing legal action to recover funds related to the inventory discrepancies and has updated its credit management policies.
The company also implemented measures to control operating expenses and improve working capital efficiency.
Under Saudi capital market regulations, specific procedures apply to listed companies whose accumulated losses exceed 20% of their share capital.
Amwaj International clarified that the board of directors continues to monitor the corrective plan to stabilize the company's financial position.
