I don’t have friends- Wendy Shay

Ghanaian musician Wendy Shay, better known as “Ghana Wake Up,” has shared that, even though the strength of a broom lies in its numbers, she prefers being alone.

Speaking in an interview with Kafui Dey, Wendy Shay divulged that growing up, “I never really experienced that emotional father love,” hence, “I had to learn how to allow myself to be helped,” something she believes contributed to her preferring to be alone.

The Shay Gang leader claims “I see myself as an eagle and eagles fly alone,” revealing that “Till now, I don’t really have friends”.

Wendy Shay noted that “I choose people purposefully now,” adding that “I like my own company. I can stay indoors for a week.”
