Take a Spooky Trip for a Texas Panhandle Cemetery Investigation

· NewsTalk 1290

Nothing could be better around Halloween time in Amarillo than a perfectly good scare. I am more into being scared by things that can really happen. So when it comes to scary movies one of my favorites is The Strangers. I mean someone terrorizing you at home could happen.

That is a true scare. So I was remembering back to when I was invited out to do a Paranormal Investigation. The Pampa Paranormal Research team one year invited us out to do an investigation.

It was nearing Halloween so what could be better? The location? How about a cemetery in Miami, Texas? We headed out in the evening and stayed until several hours after dark. So we got to experience a cemetery at night. That was definitely a bucket list experience. A true scare.

We wanted to see in we could get into contact with any spirits. If it was going to happen it was going to happen in a cemetery close to Halloween time. So the trip was definitely perfectly timed.

We met with the team and got our equipment along with a rundown of the cemetery. You could tell this was a very old cemetery so the chances of spirits being around looked to be good.

I know during the investigation I worked with an audio recorder to listen for things that the normal ear could not catch. Playing back the audio there were definitely bumps and howls in the night.

There was also an EMF meter that would catch and measure fluctuations in electromagnetic fields. The readings would catch whether there were spirits nearby. Both pieces of equipment did have some movement. So there was definitely something there.

Just being a cemetery was pretty neat for me to be at late at night. I tried to get photos as I could before it got dark. Just checking out the size of some of the graves and the dates on them was really pretty neat.

I got to experience a lot of creepiness on this investigation and so honored to be a part of it.
