Last Weekend For The Most Terrifying Haunted Attractions in Oklahoma

October is already almost over, sadly. If you've spent most of your time at the family-friendly events all over the state this month, this is your sign to do something a little more daring.

There's something therapeutic about the "manufactured" adrenaline rush you get from getting scared. Some research has even said that getting a little scared can be a healthy thing, as long as it doesn't make you more scared that you need to be.

Granted the trunk-or-treats, pumpkin patches and mazes are some of the popular fall activities in Oklahoma, there's nothing quite like a fear-driven walk through a haunted house or trail.

Believe it or not, there are quite a few people in Oklahoma who live for the thrill of Halloween season. So much that there was a need for an entire guide of Haunted Houses throughout the state that stay pretty busy during October, but are the busiest the last weekend of this month.

We reached out to our Facebook fanbase and asked other Oklahomans where the scariest places were to visit. "Not McKamey Manor level, but still terrifying," is what we asked and everyone definitely delivered.

This weekend is the last chance for Oklahomans to get "the tar" scared out of them. These trails aren't for the faint of heart, either. Many allow grabbing and touching - one even seperates you from your group (if you pay for the package, of course). So call the babysitters now and get ready for a truly terrifying weekend.
